Customising Your Diet – Part 1

In July 2004, Magnus Mulliner delivered his final lecture at Southampton Institute (now Southampton Solent University). The presentation was on Metabolic Typing (MT) Diet.

On Wed 28 July 2004, Magnus Mulliner delivered his final lecture at Southampton Institute. The presentation was on Metabolic Typing (MT) Diet. Each individual has a specific dominant metabolic rate, which is determined via factors such as heredity and environment, (weather, stress, etc). These factors may change over time, but by ‘listening’ to your body, you can regain and maintain a sense of well-being.”Most people are totally unaware of the effect some foods may have on them, they are so used to feeling the way they do, it becomes a habit, ingrained into their lifestyle”.Understanding your MT will lead to increased physical energy enabling you to perform everyday tasks better, control cravings, eliminate hunger between meals and ultimately to increase your sense of well-being. Generally speaking when you go to the Doctor he/she provides you with a pill/s to treat the specific disease or symptoms, rather than a non-specific approach that analyses the physiological & chemical imbalances/disturbances that underlie chronic health disorders. Metabolic Typing™ has been around since the mid 1980’s when researchers such as Kelley, Watson and Williams in the US came across ‘biochemical individuality’.

The crux of this presentation was to make people more aware of what they’re eating!

In summary Magnus stated…

  • Eat the right foods for your Metabolic Type

  • If you can’t pronounce a word on a label, don’t eat it!

  • Avoid the four white sins: Sugar, Table salt, Flour, Processed dairy (Pasteurised milk!)

  • Eat ORGANIC FOODS

In October 2004, Magnus delivered an interactive presentation at an Energise conference. The presentation was on Metabolic Typing™ and the effects dysfunctional foods and lack of sleep have on ones’ body.

On Sat 2nd October 2004, Magnus delivered an interactive presentation at an Energise conference. The presentation was on Metabolic Typing™ and the effects dysfunctional foods and lack of sleep have on ones’ body. Slides from Paul Chek’s book (“How to Eat Move and be Healthy”, 2004) were used to clearly show the effects certain foods have on the body. One of the most important aspects for improved wellbeing is SLEEP.For at least 7 months of the year people in the UK should be sleeping at least 9 – 9 ½ hours per night (undisturbed!) Reduced sleeping patterns affect the body in many ways and stop the beneficial effects of melatonin. Eating too many carb’s during this time of Year is another factor, which has lead to an increase in cancer, CHD, Type II diabetes, obesity, etc. (“Lights Out” by Wiley)Many people know what they should do in order to improve their vitality… the problem arises when it comes to, ‘How to do it!’. We are all creatures of habit, doing what we’ve always done; getting what we’ve always got… change is seen for some as rather frightening, especially when you’ve found your ‘comfort zone’. The problem with this ‘comfort zone’ is it doesn’t help us improve our wellbeing. It will have taken us many months or even years, behaving in such a way that has been detrimental to our health.

Let’s face it, we are all professors at what we do… who wants their professorial title taken away from them?

Tools To Longevity Presentation MT Energie (PowerPoint Presentation – opens new window)

If you wish to gain quick information about what I do and what areas I cover, read this Word document.

Magnus presented to a group of people all over the United States and Canada via a video conference.  This interactive presentation was themed “The Tools to Longevity”.  Buddha once said “You are what you think, having become what you thought”.  Your state of wellbeing is largely determined by your state of mind. Thoughts are energy.

Disease is the result of vibrational disturbances at a subatomic-particle level, triggering the disturbance at the atomic level, which causes the disturbance at the molecular level, then the cellular level and finally at the level of the organs. “The True Power of Water” 2005 Dr Masaru Emoto

This presentation explains what you need to do in order to improve your vitality and wellbeing.  There’s no rocket science behind the research or the process.  It starts with a positive thought… “How you do anything is how you do everything” T. Harv Eker.  All you need to do is change your direction. The big question is… “Are you ready for change?”
